A crossbreed of the Australian Shepherd and Poodle, Aussiedoodles are known for their intelligence, loyalty and energetic nature. These sociable dogs make great family pets, as they build strong bonds with their owners. The ideal home environment for these pups is a space that's full of activity and chances to exercise. With so many different coat colors and textures - including black, white, apricot, cream red or blue merle - Aussiedoodles have gorgeous coats that require minimal grooming maintenance to keep it healthy. Aussiedoodles are not hypoallergenic. They are a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle, so they will inherit some of the non-hypoallergenic qualities of both breeds. However, they may be less likely to trigger an allergic reaction than a purebred dog of either breed.
