In most cases, they are a family-friendly breed that is loyal, loving, and excels in obedience training. Bernedoodles tend to be people-oriented, making them great companions. Bernedoodles are also extremely intelligent and adapt easily to training, making them the perfect choice for families or individuals looking for a canine companion. Bernedoodles require regular grooming to keep their coats in good condition.
The Bernedoodle coat is unique and often varies depending upon the genes inherited from its parents, the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle. Generally speaking, the Bernedoodle coat is soft and either wavy or curly. It can be of any length ranging from wispy parts to thick and fluffy parts. Depending on the type of Bernedoodle, the coat can be a mix of colors, usually the classic black and white of the Bernese Mountain Dog, but can also include other colors such as apricot, cream and sable.
Bernedoodles are a hybrid breed of dogs, which may mean their dietary needs may vary from those of purebreds. In general, though, Bernedoodles require a balanced diet with quality dog food that meets their particular nutritional needs and those of their activity level.
