Bernedoodles are a hybrid breed created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a standard Poodle. They have become increasingly popular due to their intelligence, loyal and social personalities, and low-shedding coat. They make for great family pets and do best in homes with a large yard. Bernedoodles usually come in different sizes: Standard Bernedoodles, Mini Bernedoodles, and Teddy Bernedoodles. As a hybrid, Bernedoodles often have the best of both breeds in terms of coat and temperament.
The Bernedoodle's coat varies, depending on its parentage and it's known to be a low-shedding and low-dander hybrid. Generally, their coat is wavy or curly, and feels similar to cashmere or silk. Their coat colors can range from solid black, to black and silver, to white and chocolate. The Bernedoodle's coat remains relatively low maintenance as it doesn't require frequent brushing to keep its lovely locks looking lustrous.
Bernedoodles, as with most dogs, should be fed a high-quality diet of dry kibble, wet food, or both. It is recommended that Bernedoodles be fed two meals a day, one in the morning and one in the evening, depending on their age, activity level and size. For puppies, the diet should include larger amounts of protein, as well as appropriate levels of fat, carbohydrates, and minerals.

Bernedoodles come in a range of sizes, depending on the crossbreed used to create the dog. The primary size range of bernedoodles is referred to as "standard". Generally, a type of Bernedoodle referred to as a "miniature" or "toy" Bernedoodle is a Bernedoodle crossed with a Toy Poodle. In this case, theBernedoodle will be smaller than its Standard counterpart, ranging between 12” and 16” in size and weighing between 10 to 30 pounds.
Bernedoodles are known to have energetic personalities due to their combination of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle breeds.
