They are considered one of the friendliest, most lovable 'doodle' breeds, and are loyal companions, who love their families deeply. These dogs have wavy, low-shedding coats that come in various colors, such as black and white, tricolor, and sable. They can range in size from small to large and have an average life expectancy of 10-15 years.
Bernedoodles are billed as a hypoallergenic breed because they do not shed in the same way as other breeds, however they are not 100% non-shedding. Even though Bernedoodles are bred to be low shedding, and many will barely shed any hair, certain generations can still shed more than others. This can depend on a variety of factors such as age, genetics, seasonal changes and diet.

If a Bernedoodle has access to a large fenced in backyard, they can typically run about and get plenty of exercise that way as well.
Bernedoodles are known to have an easy-going and laid back temperament, which usually makes them great family dogs, especially when it comes to interacting with kids. They have a friendly and affable personality that makes them excellent companions for children as well as adults.
