Bernedoodles are a mix between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle, resulting in a playful, devoted, and intelligent pup. Because of the Poodle mix, these dogs rarely shed, making them a great breed for those with allergies. Furthermore, these hybrid dogs are low shedding and hypoallergenic, but require regular grooming to ensure their coats stay healthy.
The Bernedoodle coat is one of a kind! Typically, a Bernedoodle will have a soft and fluffy, tri-colored coat. It typically combines aspects of a Bernese Mountain Dog's thick, wavy fur as well as a Poodle's hypoallergenic qualities. Depending on the ratio of Poodle to Bernese Mountain Dog in the genetic makeup, some Bernedoodles can even have a "tuxedo" pattern to their coat.
