Bernedoodles are a hybrid breed, combining the Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle, which results in a friendly, intelligent, and loyal dog. They are friendly to both adults and children, and make an excellent family pet. Bernedoodles may be slightly more energetic than the average breed and require daily exercise. Because both the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle are intelligent breeds, these dogs are easily trainable and respond well to positive reinforcement.
The Bernedoodle coat is a hybrid breed with a variety of textures and colors. The coat can be scruffy or smooth, and the colors can range from a silvery/sable grey to a dark reddish brown; this particularly applies to Tri-Color Bernedoodles. Depending on the parent breeds, the Bernedoodle coat can be a combination of a Poodle's curly and soft coat, or a Bernese Mountain Dog's straight and coarse coat.
