Their coat can range from straight, to wavy, and even curly. They come in black, white, and shades of tan, brown, and red. Bernedoodles are intelligent, often learn and respond to commands quickly.
Bernedoodles may be considered low-shedding compared to other breeds, however all dogs shed to some degree. Bernedoodles, with their unique combination of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle, can produce coats that range from light to heavy shedding depending on their heredity. Grooming also plays an important role in your Bernedoodle's shedding, and regular brushing should decrease the amount of fur that is visible throughout your home. A pet with a moderate to heavy coat will require more frequent grooming to minimize shedding.
Bernedoodles are a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle, so they have different dietary needs depending on the particular breed involved in the Bernedoodle cross. Generally, Bernedoodles should maintain a diet of quality dry dog food specifically made for a large breed.
