A Bernedoodle is an amazing hybrid dog breed that is created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle. This breed of dog combines the intelligence and lower-shedding qualities of a Poodle with the strength and loyalty of the Bernese Mountain Dog. Bernedoodles are typically mediumto large-sized dogs that come in a variety of colors including black, white, brown, and grey. Because of their hybrid inheritance, Bernedoodles have an even temperament, don't drool much, and have low shedding coats.
Bernedoodles are a hybrid breed, often created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog breed with a Poodle breed. Since both breeds have different characteristics and shedding levels, the amount of shedding in a Bernedoodle will vary depending on their parental breeds. On one hand, some Bernedoodles may inherit non-shedding characteristics from the Poodle parent, but on the other hand, Bernese Mountain Dog parent may pass on a moderateto heavy-shedding coat.
Bernedoodles are a unique breed, and their eating habits must be taken into consideration when caring for them. As with all breeds, a healthy, balanced diet is essential for the overall health and well-being of your Bernedoodle. A diet of natural, grain-free, high-quality dog food is the best option for Bernedoodles. Preparing your home for your new Bernedoodle is an exciting process! Start by puppy proofing the area your Bernedoodle will be spending the most time such as your living room and kitchen by removing hazardous items, checking for easy-to-access outlets, and arranging any furniture so that your Bernedoodle has plenty of floor area to move around. Remember to provide plenty of stimulation for your Bernedoodle's energy level such as chew toys and a bed as well as a safe haven where your Bernedoodle can retreat when spooked or tired.
Bernedoodles come in three different sizes: Standard size, Miniature size and Toy size. Standard sized Bernedoodles typically grow up to 59 cms (23 inches) tall at the shoulder, and weigh around 15 to 29kgs (35 to 65 pounds). Miniature sized Bernedoodles are typically 40 to 50 cms (15 to 19 inches) tall and 11 to 16kgs (25 to 45 pounds).
Bernedoodles are known for being moderately active dogs, so they require daily exercise in order to stay healthy and be happy. Their exercise needs will vary depending upon their age, size, and overall health. Younger dogs, for instance, will require more activity than mature adults. Generally, a Bernedoodle should receive at least 30-45 minutes of exercise daily, which can include a walk, a run, a game of fetch, or another activity of their choosing.
