A Cavapoo is an adorable and popular designer dog that is created when crossing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Toy or Mini Poodle. Cavapoos usually have a soft, wavy or curly coat that can come in a variety of colors and can be low- to no-shedding depending on which parent breed’s genes it takes after. The size of a Cavapoo can vary depending on the size of the parent breeds and typically range from 10 to 19 inches tall.
The Cavapoo's coat can range from straight and smooth to curly and lightly wavy, depending on the parents and their coats. First, you'll need to make sure your home is puppy-proofed by collecting any small items they may chew on, hiding hazardous wires and cords, anchoring windows and doors, and blocking staircases. It's also important to establish a consistent routine from day one and designate specific puppy-free areas of your home. You will also need to provide vital supplies such as a bed, blankets, toys, brushes, shampoo, food & water bowls, and treats.
The best way to train a Cavapoo puppy is to start teaching them early, provide them with consistent and positive training methods, make the training fun, and reward them with lots of praise and treats. Start by teaching them basic commands like sit, stay, and come when called. Once they have mastered these, start introducing them to more advanced commands like heel, leave it, and drop it. Cavapoos need a moderate amount of exercise each day. This not only keeps them physically fit, but it also helps them stay emotionally and mentally stimulated. Cavapoos love to go for walks, playing games in the yard, or learning new tricks and commands. A Cavapoo labeled as an F1 is in its purest form, as it is the product of two purebred Poodles and a purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. An F1b is the result of a Cavapoo (which is an F1) crossed with a Poodle.
