A Cavapoo is a hybrid designer breed that is bred by crossing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a Poodle. The hybridization is done to create a small, friendly, and intelligent pet that is affectionate and devoted to its family. Cavapoos have a lifespan of between 12 and 15 years and are known for their low shedding quality. This breed has a low to moderate energy level and is considered to be a very social breed, making them ideal for those looking for companionship. Cavapoos are also ideal for apartments thanks to their small size and low grooming needs.
The Cavapoo's coat is generally quite soft and fluffy. It is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Toy or Miniature Poodle and often inherits the soft, wavy, low-shedding coat from the Poodle parent. Begin training early with basic commands like 'sit' and 'stay' and reward your Cavapoo with treats or verbal praise whenever they obey. Encourage your pup to interact with others in a calm, friendly way by providing plenty of socialization opportunities with people, places and new things. Provide plenty of daily exercise for your Cavapoo and establish a consistent routine for activities like playing, eating, walks and elimination.
Cavapoos need exercise, just like any other breed of dog. They need to be walked daily, and should have at least one 30-minute walk every day. Depending on their age and energy levels, they may need more, either in the form of additional walks, or using play and toys. Running and agility activities are great for active and athletic Cavapoos. Remember to always keep the activity suitable for their age and physical condition. Make sure to give your pooch plenty of rest breaks and access to fresh water when exercising.

An F1b Cavapoo is the result of breeding an F1 Cavapoo with either a Poodle or Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
