Cavapoo puppies are generally considered to be hypoallergenic, as they are bred from a mixture of Poodle and Cavalier King Charles parent breeds. Poodles have a tightly curling, hypoallergenic coat, while Cavaliers often have coats that are slightly wavy or flat. The combination of the two produces a low-shedding coat in Cavapoo puppies. Additionally, their shed fur tends to not carry the same allergens that typical dog fur does.

Alternatively, short, more frequent walks (around 3-4 times a day) are ideal for Cavapoos of any age.

Cavapoos are not overly active, meaning they won't tire out small children and enjoy short walks and play time. An F1 Cavapoo is a first-generation crossbreed, meaning it is the product of a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. An F1b Cavapoo is a “backcross,” meaning it is the offspring of an F1 Cavapoo and one of its parent breeds.
