Goldendoodles have coats so unique and versatile that no two coat types look the same! Goldendoodles’ coat inherits traits from both their Golden Retriever and Poodle parents and can be a variety of textures and lengths - ranging from short to long. Golden Retriever traits usually lead to the wavy coat while Poodle traits usually prevail in producing a coat that is somewhere in between curly and wavy. Most Goldendoodles are considered hypoallergenic and many of these pets require low-shedding coats, which further contributes to its versatility.
Goldendoodles are highly energetic dogs and need both physical and mental stimulation. A minimum of half an hour to an hour of exercise per day is recommended, whereas larger Goldendoodles may benefit from a longer exercise session of one to two hours.
