Fun fact due to their small size, Havaneses can't actually bark like full-sized dogs. They can make a variety of other vocalizations such as mumble, yelp, yodel and even howl! In addition, these dogs are believed to have a sixth sense when it comes to detecting danger, making them excellent guard dogs.
The Havanese coat is an ultra-soft, luxuriously silky coat that feels like satin to the touch. It's one of the top breeds in terms of fluffiness and texture. Depending on the specific breed, the coat may be long or medium-length and wavy to curly, often referred to as a 'cottony' texture.
