The Havanese is a small, affectionate and loyal breed of dog that originated in Cuba. The breed is considered low-maintenance and is suitable for a variety of living situations, from a city apartment to a country farm. They typically reach 8-12 inches in height, and generally weigh around 10-16 pounds. The Havanese has a long, silky coat that comes in a variety of colors, including white, cream, black, black and tan, chocolate, blue, silver and golden.
