They were created in the 1950s by cross-breeding Bichon Frises and Poodles, so they combine the playful nature of a Poodle with the adaptability and intelligence of a Bichon Frise. They are relatively low-shedding, they are highly active and love to play, and they are excellent watchdogs due to their alertness and loyalty.
