Havaneses, originating from the city of Havana, Cuba, are a breed of small dog that are known for their intelligence, playfulness, and loving personality. These little pups are considered one of the oldest toy breeds in Europe, and were often favored by aristocrats, such as the family of Marie Antoinette. Havaneses come in a range of colors, including black, white, fawn, and silver, and their coats can be silky, wavy, or curly. They usually stand 8-11 inches tall and weigh around 7-13 pounds.
Although not all breeds of dogs are hypoallergenic, Havaneses are considered hypoallergenic and are a great option for those with allergies.
