Labradors have extremely high energy and are usually ready to play at all times. This makes them great family dogs and they are extremely devoted and loyal to their owners. The Labrador Retriever is well known for its thick, double-layer coat. The top layer is generally a glossy, water-resistant outer coat, which gives Labrador Retrievers their distinctive, smooth, and luxurious appearance.
