They have a high exercise and food consumption rate, and have an average life expectancy of 12-13 years.
Labrador Retrievers are one of the breeds that are classified as "low-shedding" dogs, meaning that they don't shed as much as other breeds. While no dog is truly non-shedding, Labradors tend to produce less hair in comparison to other dogs. Regular brushing can help reduce shedding further, as it can help remove excess and loose fur from their coat more easily.
