Labrador Retrievers are one of the most popular breeds of dogs, renowned for their loyal and friendly temperament. Did you know that Labs typically come in three distinct colors, Yellow, Black and Chocolate Brown? They also have webbed feet, which provide great assistance in swimming, making them excellent swimmers and often employed as fishing assistants. Labradors tend to be quite athletic, they have an amazing sense of smell and they also make great guide dogs and therapy dogs.
Labrador Retrievers are considered to be moderate shedders. While they may not be considered non-shedding, they generally don't shed very heavily. To keep up with their coat and help minimize shedding, regular brushing is recommended. This helps to remove loose hair, reduce tangles and matted fur, and promote healthy skin and coat. If your Labrador Retriever is living in an environment with moderate temperatures, you may need to brush their coat more often to avoid heavy shedding. Labrador Retrievers come in three sizes: Standard, Medium, and Miniature. The Standard sized Lab weighs between 55-80 lbs and stands at 21.5-24.5 inches tall.
