Maltipoos are one of the cutest, most popular hybrid breeds around! They're a mix of Poodle and Maltese, so they feature the playful and clown-like personality of a Poodle combined with the affectionate and gentle nature of a Maltese. They usually have a soft, curly coat that comes in a range of colors, such a sandy cream, brown, white, apricot, black, and silver although it's possible to find almost any color you can imagine in a Maltipoo.
The Maltipoo typically has a single-layer coat that is typically silk-like, with a soft and slightly wavy texture. They often display brown, black, red, gray, silver and sometimes white. People may find that their coat might be different than that of a regular Poodle because Maltipoos are hybrid dogs and they share characteristics of both the Maltese and Poodle. Maltipoos tend to stay roughly around the same size throughout adulthood; however their coats will grow until the dog is matured.
As a small, high-energy breed, the Maltipoo needs a balanced diet tailored to their size and activity level. High-quality kibble, homemade meals, and wet food are all good food sources to consider when it comes to what to feed your Maltipoo. Kibble should be made of whole foods like meat, grains, vegetables and fruits, and a small amount of fiber.
