Maltipoos are a popular hybrid breed that are a cross between a Maltese and a Toy Poodle. They have a playful, joyful personality and make great companions. They can range in size from 8 to 14 inches tall and weigh between 4 and 12 lbs. Maltipoos are relatively low-maintenance and shed very little to no hair. They are extremely loyal, friendly and intelligent, and make good watchdogs due to their alert nature. Maltipoos can come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, including black, apricot, silver, white and cream.
Maltipoos, a hybrid breed resulting from a mating of the Maltese and Poodle breeds, are often considered to be non-shedding. Maltipoos have coats of varying length and color, which is unique to the breed. The Poodle's hair continues to grow indefinitely and doesn't shed, rather it is continually re-grown and trimmed. The Maltese usually shed very little and their hair is often clipped short. This makes Maltipoos great for those who want a low-shedding, hypoallergenic breed.
Maltipoos are a crossbreed between a Toy or Miniature Poodle and a Maltese. As both breeds have different dietary needs, Maltipoos generally require a balanced, high–quality diet rich in protein specifically designed to meet the breed's needs. These diets may consist of commercially manufactured food, such as kibble or wet food, which can be supplemented with fresh fruits and vegetables. As Maltipoos grow quickly, they need the extra nutrition found in puppy food.
