Additionally, Maltipoos are very smart and active dogs that require plenty of playtime, proper exercise, and mental stimulation.
The Maltipoo coat varies depending on the specific pup. Most Maltipoos have a soft, wavy, or curly coat with a combination of both their parent breeds: Maltese and Poodle. Generally, their fur is thick and full, though not as dense as a pure Poodle. While some Maltipoos may sport a single layer of fur, others may have a double coat to keep them extra cozy. On average, the fur color combinations can range from white to black, and sometimes a mixture of both.
Maltipoos are a hybrid of the Maltese and the Poodle, and so they have very specific dietary needs. Generally, high-quality dry puppy food is best for this breed, as the nutrients found in the cereals in the food help the bones and joints grow properly. If your Maltipoo is very small, you should opt for a kibble specifically designed for their size. You can feed your Maltipoo wet food as a treat, but dry kibble should be the main staple.

It is also possible to find larger Maltipoos, known as Standard or Maxi Maltipoos, which range from 15 to 25 pounds and 15 to 17 inches tall.
Maltipoos are a hybrid breed of dog, created by crossbreeding toy poodles and Maltese dogs. As such, their exercise needs will depend on the characteristics inherited from their parents. Generally speaking, Maltipoos need 30 minutes to 2 hours of exercise per day, with an emphasis on walking, running and playtime.
