Poodles are popular pets and have a surprisingly varied history. While typically associated with France, poodles actually originated in Germany as hunting dogs. They continue to possess excellent skills at detecting and tracking game such as birds, rabbits, and waterfowl. However, unneutered male Poodles need more physical activity than neutered or spayed Poodles.
