Poodles are one of the most intelligent breeds of dog. They have been bred for hundreds of years and have long been a fan favorite, especially with celebrities. They come in a variety of sizes and originally come from Germany. One interesting fact about Poodles is that they have webbed feet which help them swim better than other breeds. Some are also competitive swimmers and amazingly can jump up to 6 feet off of the ground from a standing position. Their coats come in a range of curly and wiry textures, perfect for keeping them warm in colder climates.
The Poodle coat is unique in that it has two varieties the traditional, which is soft and dense, and the corded, which is stand-out, but requires plenty of maintenance.
